Over 800 years of existence, the Buganda Kingdom has stood apart as one of the greatest and oldest kingdoms in Africa. In terms of tourism and heritage, masses travel from different parts of the world to visit, research, learn and also experience the unique culture and traits of the people of Buganda. For having the most hospitable, friendly and most welcoming people and yet the most interesting experiences you can find in East Africa/Africa.

The Buganda Heritage and Tourism Board under its mandate of creating more cultural awareness especially among the youth in Uganda and the diaspora come up with a vintage show as a tool to intensify cultural sensitization / awareness and mobilization of resources for the Kingdom of Buganda towards the development of Vintage and heritage Tourism. 

Project objectives:

  1. To diversify the tourism product offer by improving of the Buganda Kingdom through an annual event that will attract given target groups. 
  2. To create a robust platform for cultural awareness and sensitization among the youth.
  3. To enhance Buganda’s Corporate Social Responsibility through interventions encompassing environment conservation and mass cultural awareness. 
  4. Increase global visibility of Buganda as a tourism destination "Buganda the Gateway to the Pearl of Africa". 
  5. To open up investment opportunities and strategic partnerships for BHTB and VCRF.
  6. To create market and business linkages.

BHTB Strategies to market the Events.
