The Buganda Expo is an annual event on the Buganda calendar whose major focus is Tourism, Agriculture and Research as key areas to introduce the public to the opportunities within the Kingdom in order to economically empower them with a theme “BUGANDA’S CULTURE, TOURISM AND INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES UNVEILED”.


 This Expo started in 2008 with about 150 exhibitors and over the years, the number of revelers and exhibitors has risen considerably given the juicy benefits. It offers an opportunity to showcase products to the revelers and stakeholders thus establishing high quality customer contacts and conducting business. This year the number of participants is expected to increase to 100,000 goers, 500 exhibitors from; Airlines, Diplomatic Missions, Agriculturalists, Tour companies, Wildlife, Finance, community Museums, Cultural institutions and Performing arts to mention but a few.

  • The 10 days duration provides a chain of discussions between business owners and their customers.
  • Presence of 90% of Uganda’s media stations on each day of the expo provides a broad coverage of all the proceedings.
  • The multi-cultural nature of the expo attracts various people of different potentials and backgrounds.
  • Exhibition of the uniqueness of different cultures in dances, foods, dressing, backcloth making, drum basket making, arts & craft making and economic way of life.
